Service Description

Together we slow it all down and spend 75 minutes melting our stress away! This practice is restful and nourishing for these difficult times. Restorative Yoga aids with stress, sleep, anxiety, peace, calm, resiliency and general healing. This is also a wonderful practice to keep you connected to your Yoga practice if you are working through an injury or illness. Find deep rest within this class. This form of Yoga is designed for you to fully relax the entire body by using supportive props and moving us into our “Rest and Digest” Nervous System. Restorative Yoga is known to help slow down the pace of life and encourages mindfulness. As we find our place of deep rest, I will guide you through Yoga Nidra Meditation to enhance healing. We will explore deeper places of rest through brain wave states. Adding a practice once a week has been shown to help you sleep ALL week long. Yoga Nidra (Yogic Sleep) Has been thoroughly studied AND it is an ancient practice. We bring deep focus and awareness to the body and we notice the senses. We travel through the deepest brain wave states. It is widely known that 45 minutes of Yoga Nidra equals 3 hours of sleep. This is why this practice will help you sleep better all week. Good quality and consistent sleep is one of our best ways to decrease stress in our lives! Class Details This practice is best done on a flat surface with a mat, large bolster, blocks, neck roll and eye pillow. (Reach out if you need props!) Extra cushions and blankets are super helpful. This class is offered virtually, from the comfort of your own home using Zoom. You do not have to have your camera or microphone on to enjoy this practice!- speaking to all of you INTROVERTS out there! Most students prepare themselves for bed before practice and climb into bed for Savasana, then drift off to sleep after I say GOODNIGHT! How cool is that!!!! *As always, this class includes a Cannabis safe and welcoming space. Enhancing this class with Cannabis can add much depth to the subtle healing power of the practice. Plus - with a virtual class, there is no need to drive afterwards! Reach out if you need more guidance with Cannabis and your Meditation Practice. **Maximum 10 students per class $60 + HST. Minimum 4 students required to run classes.
